I think it’s absolutely insane what tumblr is doing here. I am a staunch defender of freedom of expression, and I believe this will only hurt tumblr in the future.
I can’t help but feel that the tumblr that I’ve used for the past ten years is gone.
In the era of censorship and Puritan ideals… this just fuels the fire.
Freedom of expression and speech is very important. It needs to be protected at all costs.
The best we can do is to continue to protest and voice our concerns, (review on the App Store - I did) and let Verizon know that this censorship is unacceptable.
Is now a bad time to mention I actually don’t hate this site? I hate the owners. Hate the staff. Hate the incompetence of whoever is in charge here.
But I love the site, love the format, love my mutuals, my followers and all of the amazing content creators here. I don’t know what I’ll replace this with if anything.
